East Houston St., NYC

This dive bar/lounge/music venue is right near our apartment – I pass it almost every day.  I used to go here pretty frequently to watch Jonny Hull & Danny Erker back in the day when they were part of the band Cobble Hillbillies and then became the first version of The Jones Street Boys.  Now – they are rocking it big time as Jones Street Station.  Here a video of them performing at the El Rey in LA last year when they were on tour with Ben Kweller.

Jones Street Station did a lot of the amazing music for Hello Lonesome and they will be performing at the 92nd Street Y Tribeca next Friday night after a special screening of Hello Lonesome!

Now – I’m starting my 3-day weekend!!  Happy 4th of July everyone!
