I’m pleased to say I’m now benefitting from that change of scenery I was craving so desperately on Monday. Our kind friends invited us to spend a few days with them at their beautiful home in Watermill, NY, which is where I am right now, writing this. It is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the city and exactly what this girl needed. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
Not much to say at the moment… in decompression mode. But here are my photos from the last two days:
Photo 319 out of 365 – “Red Bicycles”
I saw these red bicycles all set up in a line outside a hotel on Bowery. I think they belong to the hotel – maybe for the guests to use or maybe just to look charming outside the front door. As soon as I took this photo, I knew I wanted to make everything else black and white with just the bikes in color. They were begging for it. I like how it turned out.
Photo 320 out of 365 – “The Incredible Reversible Journal”
Before leaving town yesterday, I helped my friend Beck with a small shoot. Her friend created this awesome journal (The Revolver) that flips inside out to create a second journal with a different-colored cover. One side has lined paper, the other has blank paper. It’s a really cool product. She’s headed to a trade show this weekend and wanted a fun little marketing video to demonstrate how the journal works. Beck handled all the art direction and I just showed up with my camera gear. I can’t wait to see the finished piece (Beck’s editing)!
Now it’s time for this girl to take a shower and get out of these pajamas! Farewell for now!
Enjoy the peace!!! I loved the picture of the bikes and your choice of selective color!! and also your friend´s project!
