Today is one of those days when I’m not really in love with any of my photos. After debating a bit… I’ve chosen this one because it pretty much fits the mood of the day. It has been pouring rain and gusting wind outside all day and I haven’t left the house. I’ve had a stomach ache for the past 22 hours and all I’ve been craving is my delicious sizzling rice with chicken soup from Mandarin Westborough (one of my hometown chinese restaurants in Massachusetts). Whenever I didn’t feel well back in Mass, that is what I would eat.
I did a search on Menu pages by typing in “sizzling rice soup” – did you know you could do that?? Really cool, yet it didn’t yield any good results. All the restaurants were uptown and out of my delivery range. At one point in the day, I got sort of motivated and started looking up recipes for sizzling rice soup. It actually looks fairly simple to make and I’m definitely going to try it soon, but the weather outside was too scary so I ended up just ordering wanton soup from a chinese place in the hood. I did hear somewhere once that wonton soup in Chinese culture is like matzo ball soup in Jewish culture… in that healing way. We’ll see if it helps. Now, Adam is home from working late and we are going to go watch LOST. I hope it’s awesome.
I hope that you are feeling much better tomorrow Nell…sorry to hear about your stomach ache.
I watched Lost too…I didn’t particularly like it! Did you? Did Adam?
Be well …..
My dog Taylor is getting much worse and didn’t eat today…I am thinking that it may be the beginning of the end for him…and it scary and soooo sad that it brakes my heart. I love him sooo much. I believe that you know that he is dying of kidney failure.
Tomorrow I am sending Adam a picture of my entry in a contest to win a years worth of groceries!! It is a design of a new tote bag to use instead of plastic bags…along with a new slogan!
Love and hugs,
Mom
So sorry to hear about Taylor and thanks for the well wishes. adam and I are cranking away at this festival stuff – busy & exciting! will call you this weekend. xoxo
