I chose this as my photo of the day because it’s so mysterious and moody. It’s actually one of those misty rock garden fountain things that sits on a table – do you know what I’m talking about? Anyway, Adam and I were walking in the village last night and I spied the fountain in the entryway of a restaurant we passed. I took a few photos, but thought it was sort of a silly thing to photograph… I definitely didn’t think it would become a contender for photo of the day. When I loaded my photos today, I still wasn’t that crazy about it, but then I did some color adjustments in Lightroom. I changed the overall color tones from yellow to blue and voila! Now I totally love it! I feel like it’s a scene from some crazy exotic trip … like I’m standing in the dense fog below these tall cliffs taking photos in the moonlight. Right?
This is how it looked before I changed anything in Lightroom – which way do you prefer?
Oh – and just for a giggle, here’s a photo of Adam doing his “Blue Steel” model face – he’s so FIERCE!
Hi Nell,
I LIKE BOTH PHOTOS! THE ORIGINAL YELLOW ONE LOOKS ‘COOL’ BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S ON FIRE! I think that I actually like it the best!
Both are interesting and great!
Looks like our ‘cool man with steel face’ got a haircut! You know that he looks great anyway that you can shoot him!!!
